BlizzCon returns in February as an online event.

Blizzard canceled BlizzCon 2020 in May, stating that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible to safely host the traditional weekend party. However, it promised to hold an online event in 2021 "in the spirit of BlizzCon," and today confirmed that "BlizzConline" will take place on February 19-20, 2021.

BlizzConline will feature a community showcase featuring the work of "cosplayers, artists, and other community creators," an art contest, and a "digital storytelling contest" for aspiring filmmakers, with The top three entries in each will receive cash prizes and tickets to the next BlizzCon live event. Of course, the BlizzCon cosplay exhibit and contest will also return in an online format, with awards given in four categories, from which the overall winner of "Best Cosplay" will be chosen:

There will also be a more open-ended "Talent Spotlight," where individuals and groups will be able to "Musical, Blizzard states that examples may include, but are not limited to, "scene re-enactments, sketches, stand-up comedy, dance, acrobatics, and musical performances on instruments or vocals. . but are not limited to these." The only restrictions are that it must be composed by Blizzard or be completely original, be no longer than three minutes, and contain no "explicit or obscene" language.
