A player in "No Man's Sky" discovered two attached planets.

There have been many interesting discoveries since No Man's Sky's latest update, "Origins," has given the galaxy a facelift. With billions of new planets and lots of added variety in wildlife and terrain, players have been busy exploring and reporting their finds. [For example, Reddit's o0BaBaBoOeY0o found two planets located so close together that they almost touch.

However, this discovery was kicked out by pineapplenate, who reported on Reddit that he found the two planets actually attached. Indeed, too close for comfort.

I took the coordinates from the screenshot posted by pineapplenate and jumped from the portal to a planet in the same solar system. Then I flew over to take a look. The two planets are indeed attached to each other, like a couple of peanut M&M's that spent a lot of time in a hot car.

I decided to land and jump from one planet to the other, which is not so easy. Both planets (one called Ahasak and the other called Haydramp) have very hostile weather, plus the first planet is one of those weird planets that sucks almost all the color out of the world, ships, suits, and everything else.

So, not so easy to see in the darkness of the storm, but this is where I departed from Ahasak, jumped off its edge (technically a drop), then plummeted sideways to reach the Haydrump (landing in the water a few meters before shore). Mission accomplished:

The weather was unfortunate, but with two planets colliding, some storms should be expected.
