Inxile Entertainment, the studio behind Wasteland, is working on two new RPGs.

Inxile Entertainment is keeping busy for 2020. In addition to the recent release of Wasteland 3, the studio also has a team-based VR shooter, Frostpoint: Proving Grounds, due out this year. While a bit different from the studio's usual RPG offerings, there's nothing to fear when it comes to Inxile's new RPGs.

This is the news that the studio's CEO, Brian Fargo, tweeted today in response to fans asking for more games like "Wasteland 3," Fargo wrote.

He then continued: "I should clarify that the second RPG is in the early stages of pre-production." This is a polite way of saying that it is probably a very long way off. [When Microsoft acquired the studio in 2017, Fargo pulled out of retirement, promising that the deal would give Inxile "more resources and potentially more time" to create the game; Wasteland 3 is undeniably a step up from the previous game, and it will be interesting to see if the possibility of a fourth installment will shake things up even more.
