Announced last year and now finally definitive, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold features the world's first foldable 13.3-inch OLED touchscreen, a technology discovered on Lenovo's site (via Kitguru) that actually looks similar to that of the fully functional PCs It appears to be similar to that of the foldable cell phones that abound today, except that it is actually a fully functional PC.

"It doesn't get more revolutionary than this," boasts Lenovo.

The ThinkPad X1 Fold comes with an Intel Core i5 hybrid processor, 8GB of LPDDR4X 4,267MHz RAM in each model, and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. Lenovo also claims that the 50Wh battery provides more than 10 hours of battery life for video playback and weighs just 2.2 lbs. [It does not feature the new Intel Tiger Lake chipset with Xe GPU, but it looks to be a practical little tablet or laptop replacement for working on the go.

Still, there are still many concerns about the durability of such a foldable tech product.

Prices range from $2,500 to $3,100, depending on final specifications. Already quite expensive, but for designers, they will have to add $100 for the Lenovo Mod Pen. If typing at a screen is not your thing, you'll need the Lenovo Fold Mini Keyboard for $230.

Innovation comes at a price.
