Kenshi" sold 1 million copies

As developer Lo-Fi Games noted in its latest community update, the post-apocalyptic sandbox RPG Kenshi has sold a million copies worldwide, despite a mean, weird, and notoriously unpleasant start.

Our reviewer, Robert Zak, described his time with Kenshi as. I was once beaten down by a herd of goats to feed a herd of lethargic nomads. We were shopkeepers and thieves, lonely wanderers and slaves, and a community of people working together to one day build our own city in the wastelands. Someday."

The community update also mentions that "proceeds from Kenshi will be invested in the development of Kenshi 2, with an expanded team of 15 and a new office in Bristol."

Kenshi 2 was announced last year; it takes place 1,000 years ago and features the following new creatures, but not much is known about it yet, other than that it will feature "a new creature.
