Corsair may have secured its place in many best gaming keyboard rankings, but there has always been a demographic that never changes. It is not a technicality. No, rather, these people, myself included, are vain. For a long time, the non-standard bottom row of all Corsair keyboards meant that it was impossible to change the keycaps to something custom or creative.

So with the introduction of the Corsair K100 gaming keyboard, Corsair has promised to support a more standard bottom row. In other words, the pack of keycaps scattered around your house (we all have them, don't we?) will be replaced by a new, more standardized set of keycaps.

Corsair also tells us that this change is not exclusive to the K100. In fact, all new Corsair keyboards will feature the new standard size, which may frustrate Corsair as they will now be able to customize Corsair boards to their heart's content.

Previously, Corsair gaming keyboards used unique sizing for only the bottom keys (ctrl, alt, spacebar, etc.). This meant that most kits (except for Corsair keyboards, i.e., those customized specifically for their own keyboards) could only replace the remaining keys.

And now many will be able to enjoy the world of beautiful and attractive keycaps on their new gaming keyboards. From a set of themed keys to custom-made craftsmanship keycaps that might just break your bank account, there are roughly 104 different opportunities to personalize a full-size keyboard to your liking.

Corsair also uses Cherry MX stems, and since Cherry MX keys are mainstream, many custom keycaps are sure to fit as well. Since this is the most common stem type for custom sets, you don't need to worry too much about compatibility.
