'Silent Hill 4' could be Konami's next PC re-release

The rating for Konami's PC version of "Silent Hill 4: The Room" was posted on the PEGI website and rated 18 for graphic violence. Last week, Konami's PC versions of Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, and two sets of Castlevania and Contra were re-released on GOG. Will the early Silent Hill games join them?

Silent Hill 4 was originally released in 2004 and was the last game in the series created by the original developer, Team Silent. The game alternates between a first-person perspective part where you are trapped in an apartment and a third-person survival horror part in the tradition of the series. It's not the best of the best, but it's still beloved, so much so that someone went to the trouble of recreating the apartment in Unity.

The PC version was released in 2004, but is now hard to find. Like "Silent Hill 2" and "Silent Hill 3," it would be a perfect candidate for a digital re-release.

Here's why Silent Hill deserves a PC.
