Visit Japan's Spires of Death with Microsoft Flight Simulator

From the giant obelisk-like mansions towering over Australia to the reality-defying sinkholes burrowing deep into the Brazilian crust, we have seen many amazing sights in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Now, let's add Japan to your tour of oddities, as it too has some huge, towering spikes. My plane is close to the camera in the image above, so the scale is a bit off, but the gif below will give you an idea of just how towering and spiky those towering spikes of death really are.

It is also interesting to note that while some of the spikes appear to be formed of earth and stone, some are formed of buildings. There is definitely a high-rise structure fused into that towering spike of death, the shorter of the two spikes, with bushes and trees popping up here and there. It is as if the man-made structures and the natural bedrock have joined forces to point a huge, sharp accusing finger at the sky.

Taking a cue from UnstableMisanthrope's post on Reddit that "I want to go there myself," I found a nearby airport, RJFS Saga. From there I take off and fly west across the ocean until I find the SIOTA symbol on the VFR map. By that time, I would easily spot the giant spikes of death sticking out of the ground.
