Diablo 2 is 20 years old, but seasoned adventurers have managed to coax more challenges out of Blizzard's venerable sequel. Enter Leoric's Castle, a new mod that reimagines the demonic dungeon crawler as a rogue-like bloodbath.

Leoric's Castle is not just Diablo 2: Deathmatch, it's a competitive boss rush. Playable as a free-for-all, duo, or team of four, rival players will build their characters and progress through the dungeon with upgrades and equipment purchased at the Goblin Shop while fighting off monsters and fellow adventurers.

Located between "Diablo 1" and "Diablo 2," "Leoric's Castle" features the bosses from both games, with a final battle against the skeletal king. Stick around long enough to land the killing blow, and you will be victorious.

Personally, I'm kind of in hell. However, according to Reddit, the creators say that the mod is more welcome than it looks, and that "there's as much PvE as PvP. That said, I'm not too keen on playing against veteran Diablo 2 adventurers.
