The Witcher's Season 2 First Images Reveal a Truly Big Geralt

The second season of The Witcher, to be released on Netflix, will likely feature a new outfit for Geralt.

His armor in the first season was a light, leathery, stylish and utilitarian ensemble that prioritized mobility over hardness, typical of The Witcher. This new outfit, on the other hand, looks like a 220-pound ham hock stuffed into the car seat of a mid-70s Chrysler. I don't mean to complain in the slightest, but holy cow, this takes Big Geralt to a whole new level.

It's not my imagination, is it? It's not in your mind, is it?

Netflix also revealed today the synopsis for "The Witcher" Season 2: "Convinced that Jenefer's life was lost in the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Livia brings Princess Cirila to the safest place he knows, his childhood home in Caer Morhen. While continental kings, elves, humans, and demons vie for supremacy outside the walls, he must protect the girl from something more dangerous: the mysterious power she holds within.

Showrunner Lauren Hissrich has previously said that season two of The Witcher will be much more linear than the first season, which jumped around quite a bit and was so confusing that Netflix released an interactive map and timeline to help viewers keep up. He said it will be much more linear. Season 2 will add more witchers, including Vesemir, Lambert, Eskel, and Cohen (who does not appear in the game), as well as characters such as Nivelen the Cursed Man and Francesca Findabear, the elven sorceress.

The Witcher Season 2 broadcast start date has not yet been set: the start of filming was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is currently in production. If you are now interested in this production for any reason, this is the information you need to get started.
