'Fall Guys' Developer Reveals Season 2's Spiked Roller Hazard Name: 'Thicc Bonkus'

Recently, Fall Guys developer Mediatonic released gameplay footage of a new level called Knight Fever. With Season 2 of the medieval-themed game just a few days away, this teaser video whetted the appetite of many, including us at PC Gamer.

Mediatonic, not the type to be satisfied with just one piece of promotional material when there's so much to promote, shared even juicier details about what to expect in the upcoming update on the popular Fall Guys Twitter account.

First up, it was announced that the fan-requested costume randomization would be added in Season 2 (a little ahead of the gameplay footage).

The suggestion came courtesy of the Fall Guys Discord server, where fans were invited to vote on community suggestions in order to influence the ongoing development of the game.

And speaking of community suggestions, we haven't talked about Thicc Bonkus yet.

In the same spirit as the Big Yeetus Hammer added in the late Season 1 update, the Thicc Bonkus is a spiked pendulum that, if you're not careful about when to avoid it, will knock your jellybeans off their feet and possibly out of the competition, It's designed to level the playing field a little (maybe literally).

We already knew that the spiked roller would appear in Season 2, but the reveal of its name is likely to raise a few eyebrows. While there's nothing particularly unhealthy about Thicc Bonkus, which was reportedly named by the Fall Guys community rather than the developers, we still can't help but hope that parents aren't reading this article. Like other new content, this "Fall Guys" "Boaty McBoatface" feature will be added to the game in a new season update on October 8.
