Ergonomic wireless keyboard and mouse combo for under $20

First, let me say that Microsoft's Wireless Comfort Desktop 5050 is a package consisting of a wireless keyboard and mouse, not a bundle of gaming accessories. So why feature it here? Because while not specifically designed for gaming, these ergonomically designed parts are incredibly cheap right now.

Lenovo is offering this package for just $19.34. This is a savings of $50.61 off the list price. It is not always sold at full MSRP, but when it is in stock (which it is not right now), Amazon usually sells it for $55 or more. Also, Best Buy and Microsoft Store, where they are in stock, still list them at full price.

At any rate, you can get a backup wireless keyboard and mouse for under $20 and from a well-known brand. I may end up using this keyboard every day. Too bad it's not mechanical. But the curved design is really comfortable. I used a similarly curved Belkin ErgoBoard for many years until it wore out.

This is a slightly different shape than the ErgoBoard, but it is more "ergonomic." According to Microsoft, it is shaped to encourage a more natural posture and to align the arms, wrists, and hands.

There are no amenities such as backlighting or profile/gaming keys. However, many dedicated media keys, customizable shortcut keys, a number pad, and wireless connectivity are available. Also, the majority of user reviews are generally favorable, at least for the keyboard.

The included mouse is not particularly interesting, especially for gaming; there are only two primary clickers and a scroll wheel; there is no mention of DPI, only that it uses Microsoft's BlueTrack technology.

Overall, this bundle is worth considering at the discounted price. Also, be sure to check out our Best Gaming Keyboards and Best Gaming Mice summary.
