Flight stick prices are outrageous right now, but "Thrustmaster is in full production

Update: Thrustmaster contacted us regarding the situation and said that they are now in full production to meet the currently soaring demand.

"Thrustmaster is currently in full production with limited inventory," the representative told us.

Unfortunately, he would not tell us when they went into full production, or how long it will be before we start seeing the new flight sticks actually arrive in retail stores at suggested retail prices rather than the third-party frenzy pricing we are currently being forced into.

We have yet to hear a peep from Logitech.

Original Article The recent release of Microsoft Flight Simulator has rekindled interest in assembling home cockpits, and flight sticks have sold out quickly at major online retailers such as Best Buy, Newegg, and Amazon. With the release of Star Wars Squadrons last week, there was yet another reason to own a flight stick, and amateur starfighters began snapping up the remaining flight sticks, which were already in short supply.

As a result of the increased demand, desperate pilots had to pay astronomical prices just to secure flight sticks and throttles. The Thrustmaster T16000M, for example, normally sells for around $60, but is currently only stocked by third-party retailers and sells for as high as $175 on Amazon.

Some of the best joysticks have been out of stock for months with no sign of being restocked.

If you can stand the pressure of constantly being outbid, you can always buy affordable sticks on Ebay. Right now, trying to buy a flight stick is a frustrating experience - especially if you are still licking your wounds trying to track down an RTX 30 series card.
