In June, we learned that the post-apocalyptic city-building, slash-survival sim Frostpunk is producing a board game spin-off. The campaign launched yesterday, and the goal of 200,000 euros was reached in just 54 minutes.

As of this writing, pledges now exceed €640,000 and are still happily ticking away. Some stretch goals have already been teased, but when and how they will be unlocked has yet to be confirmed; a look at the Kickstarter page shows an attractive and informative infographic, but it is already outdated.

The board game is scheduled to ship in October 2021, so "Frostpunk" fans can take comfort in the fact that the video game that started it all is officially complete, with the third and final expansion released in August. They have a full year left to wrestle with a number of brutally tough decisions in the PC version before turning their attention to the board game.
