Two new games are free this week on the Epic Games store: the multiplayer FPS "Rising Storm 2: Vietnam" and the other interactive game "Abzû," an undersea exploration fantasy.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam supports up to 64-player matches on more than 20 maps and features units representing the U.S. Army and Marines, the Vietnamese People's Army and NVA, ANZAC, ARVN, and National Liberation Front. With more than 50 weapons, four controllable helicopters, and character customization options, it's really quite extensive: we called the game "an intense test of awareness, speed, and accuracy that upholds the series' dedication to teamwork and authenticity" in 85% of our reviews.

Abzû is quite different. We said in an equally favorable review in 2016, "A deftly staged psychedelic ocean tour with not a single UI or text prompt telling you where to go or what to do, driven purely by curiosity." It is a short, intense journey full of intense surprises and inherent beauty, and well worth seeing around every corner."

What these films have in common is that both are free to view until October 15. After that, two more films will be shown instead: the Chinese Room's "Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs" and the strategy survival sim "Kingdom New Lands." For more free games, stay tuned to our ongoing giveaway list.
