Razer's new Sneki Snek plush does not come with RGB LEDs.

At the end of the RazerCon 2020 keynote, Razer announced its new official chief mascot: Sneki Snek. This plush character will also help protect trees around the world. This little guy is cute and passionate about conservation.

In February, Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan shared an image of a potential Razer mascot created by one of its designers on Instagram. The character was first created by Razer designer Jonas upon his return from parental leave, and the cute character, which Tan named Sneki Snek, has reportedly become one of the company's most requested designs and has actually been tattooed on 14 human He even went so far as to get 14 tattoos on humans.

"With dozens of fan art submissions, handmade plush toys, and even tattoos done in its honor, Sneki Snek has taken over the hearts of fans worldwide, and now every fan can have his or her own.

Since March, Tan has been working on a "Sneki Snek please" page in particular, claiming that "despite the Sneki Snek plush (never being made), people are already making their own plush toys!" and trolling people on Facebook, claiming that they are "not going to be made. But even so, Razer has been teasing a conservation-focused stuffed animal on Facebook for some time.

But it's not all about giving fans what they want: something Razer-like they can cuddle in bed.

"Razer is calling on fans and Sneki Snek to help save at least 100,000 trees, or about 400 acres of forest, that endangered species depend on for survival.

"For every Sneki Snek stuffed animal sold, a donation is made to Conservation International to save 10 trees worldwide."

And because he clearly cares about the environment, this is one Razer-branded product that will not be decorated with RGB LEDs. The new Sneki Snek Plushie will be available today, October 10, 2020, for $29.99 from Razer.com and select retailers.
