Load times for "Wasteland 3" reduced by "up to 60%," inXile says

Patch 1.1.2 for Wasteland 3 is now available, and inXile calls it "Save Scummers Delight" and says, "Our engineers have changed the way the game loads levels, reducing load times by up to 60% on PC and 25% on consoles. He cites an example of a load time that took 38 seconds on test hardware, but was reduced to 13 seconds.

The PC version launched with significantly longer load times, but as a relic who remembers how Thief: The Dark Project's loading screen once took several minutes, this had one advantage. If I'm going to be staring at a progress bar, even if it's only for 38 seconds, I'd rather endure the mistake than hit quick load and undo it. Get off my lawn, young man.

The patch also addresses other specific bugs caused by the sniper rifle's chain ambush ability and Precision Strike perk, as well as various progression blocking issues in the Yuma County Speedway area. Here are the full patch notes: "Some cinematic characters have been given microdermabrasion treatments and have more beautiful skin."
