General
Watch Dogs Legion" recommends RTX 3080 on Ultra setting.

With Watch Dogs Legion coming out this month, Ubisoft has made a final update to the system requirements. These were originally released last month, but since then a new series of hard-to-find cards from Nvidia have appeared, so they are now listed in the appropriate column. If you were covered before, you should still be fine, but if you were just on the line, you might want to check again.

For example, at the lowest settings, the GTX 960 recommendation was updated to GTX 970. On the other hand, at 4K/ultra settings, AMD's recommendation is no longer available, and the 3080 has been added to the RTX 2080 Ti. If the cheaper and more readily available 2080 can do the job, the 3080 doesn't seem to make much sense - at least in Legion. At least in Legion it does; there seems to be one exception.

Ubisoft has again proposed another requirement to make it convenient if you want to use ray tracing, with the 2070 and 2080 Ti being replaced by the 3070 and 3080 in the 1440/ultra high and 4K/ultra settings. This may mean that the load is higher than previously suggested, but it is likely that the requirements have been updated to remain relevant and recommend newer cards over older ones.

The system requirements also include uncapped frame rates, support for multiple monitors and widescreen, and DirectX 12 is recommended, although DX11 is still compatible.

We will, of course, be checking these settings when we get our hands on it, so keep an eye out for it when it gets closer to release. The launch is October 29. Until then, you can read Chris' latest Watch Dogs Legion hands-on.
