Fortnite v14.30 Update: Combat Shotgun Buffed, Daredevil Cup Offers Free Marvel Skins

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4's new update is here, and players can expect a pretty meaty list of bug fixes, new features, buffs and nerfs, etc. Epic has been continuously adding new content during Season 4, including adding new Marvel heroes to the roster, and will continue to do the momentum continues to build.

Patch notes for Fortnite update 14.30 are here.

One of the biggest updates in 14.30 will be the increased firepower of the Combat Shotgun.

Epic has increased the range at which the Combat Shotgun hits enemy players. This is appreciated by unfamiliar players like myself.

Epic has not released any specific details regarding this buff, so we are kind of in the dark for a bit. Nevertheless, Epic is asking the community to let them know what they think of the combat shotgun.

Good news for Marvel skin fans in Season 4: you'll soon be able to score a skin for Daredevil, the blind martial artist whose popularity has skyrocketed thanks to Netflix's amazing series.

Epic has announced the Daredevil Cup. This is the first chance for players to compete in a trio tournament and win a Daredevil skin. Instead of the usual battle royale trios matches, teams will actually compete in the new Marvel Knockout mode. See the link above for detailed instructions.

If you're not competitive, there's another piece of good news: Daredevil skins will be available in the item store at a later date.

Longtime data miner HYPEX has discovered a list of new skins that will appear in Fortnite in the near future after the 14.30 update.

Hey, did you think Epic stopped doing LTM? Nope. Ever since cars were added in Season 3, Epic has gone out of its way to add challenges that utilize cars here and there. And now there is a brand new mode, dubbed "Rally Royale."

According to Epic, players drive around the map in a vehicle and collect a certain number of tickets along the way. Once a sufficient number of tickets are collected, they must race to the finish line.

According to Epic, this new LTM will be released later this week, so stay tuned.

As always, Epic has implemented a number of bug fixes to Fortnite as part of their latest update. We hope these will keep players running smoothly, and while Epic has not left any actual patch notes recently, they have updated their community Trello board to let us know about some of the most important changes.

- Fixed an issue where the "Last Forever" emote audio would play even though the license audio was muted in the audio settings. - Fixed an issue where movement would stop when placing a map marker. - Fixed an issue with the Sword of the Daywalker pickaxe using a two-handed waving animation in Save the World mode. - Fixed an issue on mobile where the XP bar would sometimes not visually display correctly during a match.

A number of other bugs have been fixed in Fortnite's Creative Mode.
