Frog Fractions The Game of the Decade Edition, the Steam remastered version of this popular browser game that teaches you nothing about fractions, is already loaded with secrets, but how about a few more? Maybe even some achievements? A free update containing plenty of both was released last week, but to get the most out of it, you'll need Hop's Iconic Hat DLC.
Released in August, Hop's Iconic Hat continues the series' hallmark of being more than meets the eye. The hat is added to the base game, and while that's all the Steam page says, putting on the hat transforms the game into Frog Fractions 4. That's how frogs roll.
As creator Jim Crawford confirmed after the release of the DLC, there are four legitimate Frog Fractions in the Frog Fraction Cinematic Universe. The first, of course, was Frog Fractions, which Crawford rescued from the Flash apocalypse and re-released as Frog Fractions: and then re-released on Steam as Frog Fractions: Game of the Decade Edition. Frog Fractions 2 was the ARG that led to the launch of Frog Fractions 3, which was subsequently found in an entirely different game. With that in mind, it makes sense that the DLC for this hat is "Frog Fractions 4".
Months after its release, players had enough time to dissect the amphibians, so Crawford packed the DLC with 100 more secrets.
Among the secrets are 30 achievements, 10 of which are included in the base game. Naturally, they are all hidden, and Crawford warns that most of them have strange requirements. He recommends looking at the names and images for clues. The only good track record that requires a bit of guessing is.
If you haven't jumped in the pond yet, this is a good time to pick up the entire series; Glittermitten Cave and Hop's Iconic Hat are both on sale, and the Frog Fractions Cinematic Universe bundle offers additional discounts. The sale ends October 26.
