Pumpkin Jack and Ghost Runner to Launch with Raytracing and Nvidia DLSS Support

Nvidia will release 12 more ray-tracing-enabled games this year; Pumpkin Jack and Ghostrunner will support ray-traced reflections and shadows at launch, along with support for DLSS, Nvidia's super-sampling AI technology was confirmed today.

The announcement of RTX support for Pumpkin Jack is sure to excite some as this 3D platformer is gearing up for Halloween with a release date of October 23, 2020. The game's developer, Nicolas Meyssonnier, has also revealed that he intends to bundle ray-traced reflections, shadows, extended lighting, and DLSS support at launch.

Pumpkin Jack's new RTX look can be seen in the new trailer below.

Ghostrunner, released by All In!Games and published by 505 Games, will also be reborn in RTX for its debut release on October 27, 2020. This will include support for ray-traced reflections, shadows, and DLSS.

Additionally, Xuan-Yuan Sword VII will launch with RTX support on October 28, and Nvidia has confirmed that two upcoming early access games, Enlisted and Ready or Not, will join the RTX roster later this year.

These recent announcements join the known RTX quantities of Watch Dogs: Legion, Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, and Cyberpunk 2077. In addition, updates to "Edge of Eternity," "Mortal Shell," "Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord," and "World of Warcraft: Shadowlands" will have RTX capabilities available by the end of the year.

All of this will be a great opportunity to push the new and improved on-board ray tracing acceleration of the new RTX 30 series graphics cards. architecture for ray tracing workloads, but new graphics cards are very hard to come by at this time.
