Vermintide 2" In-Game Event Celebrates Five Years of Rat Extermination

The first "Vermintide" was released five years ago and introduced us to the Ubersreik Five and the fun of killing large numbers of mutant rat people called Skaven. Developer Fatshark is celebrating this anniversary with an in-game event for its sequel, Vermintide 2, which runs through October 26.

First up, the map "A Quiet Drink," which was available during previous anniversary events, will reappear. This is a pub crawl that leads from the Hungry Troll's Tavern to the obese megalodon, with custom-made drunken lines and hordes of enemies along the way. Complete this or any other mission this week and receive a free grotesque hat themed around the pub's mascot, the obese megalodon. Shark Head. Bundles of hats are also on sale.

There is also a kill counter that tracks all enemies killed between now and November 1; if you reach 300,000,005, you get triple XP for the weekend; if you reach 555,555,555, you get triple XP for the weekend. It has already reached 19,800,062.

Finally, there will be a Twitch feed on October 23rd at "approximately 4pm Central European Time" where Fatshark's CEO and scenario director will share memories and "probably something new," like information on the Chaos Wastes expansion. ? Or additional DLC carriers in the vein of Grail Knight? Let's wait and see.

"Vermintide" and "Vermintide 2" are both excellent cooperative shooters: Vermintide 2 came in pretty high on Warhammer Fantasy's ranking of all games.
