The prize for the Fight Club Tournament is a real crab.

Fight Crab is a game in which you become a crab and fight crabs. You can wield swords, shurikens, and all sorts of human weapons with your dexterous pliers. And if you are very, very good at killing fellow crabs, you may even win against a real crab.

A king crab tournament (cheers, Kotaku) will be held this weekend at Toyama Gamers Day in the capital city of Toyama Prefecture, Japan. It's up to you!

You're probably thinking. You will probably think, "It's a crab game, so it's only natural that I should win a crab. However, the Toyama Gamers' Day will also feature a Fortnite tournament. According to Kaiyu, there will be 100 red snow crabs and an extra prize. The prize, however, is the crab. What else can I get?

Toyama is into seafood, and red snow crab is apparently a local specialty. Toyama Gamers Day has been held for several years and feeds Toyama's top gamers. Other esports competitions should also take note: esports needs to stop emulating other sports with large amounts of money and big sponsorship deals, and instead provide what gamers really need: fresh seafood.

If you find yourself in this area, the tournament is open. It is first come, first served, and there are 128 slots available.

The king crab tournament will use the Switch version of the game, but if this makes you hungry for the blood of your crustacean foes, you can also purchase Fight Crab on Steam.
