Netflix announced today in a short teaser that a live-action "Assassin's Creed" series is in the works.
The series is still in development, so don't expect it to be available next month. The only information we have is that Jason Altman and Daniel Kreinick of Ubisoft will serve as executive producers.
Ubisoft announced in 2017 its intention to develop an "Assassin's Creed" series in response to the not bad Michael Fassbender film.
Netflix's Peter Friedlander said, "We are excited to partner with Ubisoft to bring to life the rich, layered storytelling for which "Assassin's Creed" is beloved. From its breathtaking historical worldview to its global appeal as one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time, we will carefully craft an epic and thrilling entertainment experience based on this distinctive IP and delve deeper for fans and members worldwide to enjoy. We are committed to doing so."

The press release also adds that the live-action series is just one of several Assassin's Creed projects in development. Under the agreement, "Netflix and Ubisoft will bring the dynamic story treasury of this iconic video game to the global masses for live-action, animated and animated series adaptations.
