RTX 3070 inventory is up from previous 30-series launches, but Newegg said it is still not enough.

Ahead of today's launch of the Nvidia RTX 3070, online retailer Newegg has explained the stats, tips, and honest truth about the long-awaited RTX graphics card launch, and it looks like it could be just as crowded as the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 launches.

In the Twitter thread above, Newegg confirms that they fought off tens of millions of bots during the RTX 3080 launch alone. He also expects the same amount of bots, if not more, to be generated at the RTX 3070 launch.

To keep bots and resellers away from the RTX 3070, retailers are limiting sales to one per customer (every 48 hours); if you spot a reseller using Newegg's screenshots, don't be shy about reporting them.

And Nvidia's delay earlier this month to increase RTX 3070 inventory appears to have been somewhat successful; Newegg reports that there is more RTX 3070 inventory than the previous RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 launches. However, they also claim that even the inventory they currently have is "far short of the enormous demand."

To address such cases, the retailer recommends using the app for faster checkout, searching for combos, and not refreshing too much in case you get flagged as a bot by the system.

Other retailers should offer similar measures worldwide. In the U.S., Best Buy will be responsible for selling the Founders Edition on behalf of Nvidia, so if you want Nvidia's own-branded cards, you should look to Best Buy rather than Nvidia stores.

Also, EVGA seems to be having success with their queue system for RTX 30 series cards.
