World of Warcraft Shadowlands launches November 23.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will be released on November 23 at 3:00 p.m. ET (12:00 a.m. PT), according to an announcement on Blizzard's Twitter feed, and the October 26 release date was delayed to address a widespread bug The reason for the delay was to address a wide range of bugs and to make some tweaks to the game's endgame progression.

"We used the time to further refine the expansion and enhance the endgame, including overhauling the combat and rewards in The Maw and reworking the Covenant system so that your choices have more immediate impact and a clearer long-term goal," an image attached to the tweet The image attached to the tweet reads.

With the release date set, Blizzard was able to confirm a few other important dates: the pre-expansion launch event will begin on November 10, with hordes of undead invading Azeroth. I played this event in beta a few months ago, and it was a lot of fun, as players could transform into infected zombies and spread the plague to other players, thus disrupting their normal routine. At the same time, the event also provided a way to earn optional bosses and loot, allowing players to catch up and prepare for the release of Shadowlands.

On December 8, a few weeks after launch, the Natria Castle Raid will open, challenging players with a gauntlet of 10 bosses in exchange for the best loot in Shadowlands (and bragging rights about which guild was the fastest to beat).

I've been playing Shadowlands quite a bit and am enjoying it a lot so far, even if I'm a little frustrated with the endgame system; a pre-patch for Shadowlands has been released that makes some major changes to the way leveling works, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the new game has to offer.
