This year's Steam Halloween sale runs from October 29 through November 2. It takes about four days to bloat your backlog full of horror games. But don't let the scary ones escape just yet.

While this sale is dedicated to horror games, there are plenty of games that are creepy related or not horror related at all. With a little searching, you'll find something to fit your fear threshold. That said, "Mount Your Friends 3D" is on sale.

While Steam's Halloween sale doesn't have anything as big as earning a metagame badge, there are some new seasonal offerings in the points store. The "Monster Prom 2" emote is particularly spooky. If the term "point store" doesn't ring a bell, this was introduced at the last big sale: you can earn points and spend them on things like profile backgrounds, animated stickers, and other things I'll never use because my digital social life is on Discord. I can use them for things that I would never use in my digital social life on Discord.

So what do you pick up? I might pick up some low-level indie horror games that I missed out on last year.
