There are plenty of humans in Watch Dogs Legion. However, while Aiden Pierce and Wrench return from past series, there is still no sign of Watch Dogs 2 protagonist Marcus Holloway coming to Camden Town.
Speaking to IGN, voice actor Ruffin Prentiss explained that he would gladly return to the role. Unfortunately, however, he was never contacted by Ubisoft about returning in Legion.
"I would love to reprise the role," Prentiss said. 'It's one of my favorite roles I've ever done. When Aiden was announced, I thought, 'Oh, that could be a possibility.'"
Pearce, a man with a personality like worn-out cardboard, is a season pass character in Legion, along with three other operatives: an assassin from Assassin's Creed, an actual psychic, and a loud-talking wrench wearing emoji goggles from the previous film.
"He's my main sidekick in 'Watch Dogs 2. So I think there's still an area of possibility, but I haven't heard anything from Ubisoft. But if I hear from them, I'll definitely jump back in."
Prentice does not seem to be bitter about Marcus' omission, praising actor Sean Baichu's "wonderful, fluid, versatile" performance. Still, since Ubisoft stated that it would bring back the returning character, there has been a growing desire for Marcus to return, and Prentiss has received messages from fans asking him to bring back the young man in the lead role.
"It's absolutely true how the fans received 'Wrench. I had fun making that game, but even when he was announced, I was like, 'Hey, is Marcus coming?
The interview also touched on some interesting tidbits about the broader franchise. Apparently, one screenwriter was going to establish three or four main characters and then make it an "Avengers"-like team-up, which doesn't seem so far-fetched given the first film's almost superhero origin story ending.
For now, it doesn't look like Marcus will be crossing the pond anytime soon. Christopher would probably thumb his nose at him in a completely trivial way anyway.
