Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor was released in 2014 and had several online features; according to a note on the Steam page, they are about to be deprecated; as of December 31, Nemesis Forge, Vendetta Missions, Leader Board, and WBPlay connections will all be unavailable. Here is the full list of affected features.

Vendetta Missions allowed players to take revenge on behalf of their Steam friends, and Orcs who killed someone on their friend list would appear in-game, allowing them to hunt them for the "Pay with Blood" achievement. It's a minor part of "Shadow of Mordor" and I honestly wouldn't have missed it, but it's still disturbing to have a part of the game removed after the fact. Especially a single-player game like "Shadow of Mordor".
