According to a 4chan contributor, a 558 GB bundle of files circulating on file-sharing sites contains the complete source code for Watch Dogs Legion. Also in October, a ransomware group threatened to leak the source code. It may be that a game about hackers has been hacked. If true, this 558 GB would probably contain many uncompressed assets, complete audio in various localizations, and much more.

With access to the complete source code, modders would be able to modify "Watch Dogs Legion" and pirates might find it easier to crack. More importantly, from an archival standpoint, it would also be of value to game historians. When a "gigaleak" of Nintendo source code and internal documents was released into the wild earlier this year, it proved to be a treasure trove of interesting information for enthusiasts.

Some players of Watch Dogs Legion are currently experiencing save corruption issues, which Ubisoft says may take several days to fix.
