This external USB 3.1 SSD has RGB LEDs.

The new Adata SE770G SSD not only has the potential to be one of the fastest external storage solutions ever, it also follows the RGB LED lighting trend (like it or not). This USB 3.1 external SSD features an elegant cube-pattern lighting effect, perfect for those who want to add a little more color to their mundane data transfer activities. It is unclear if it can be synchronized with other RGB LED-equipped components and peripherals.

According to Adata, the new SE770G RGB external SSD can reach read speeds of up to 1,000 and write speeds of 800 megabytes per second. This means that, theoretically, a 10 GB 4K movie could be transferred in about 20 seconds. If these numbers are true, this could be a contender for a spot on the best external hard drive list.

But we won't know that until we get our hands on one.

To achieve these speeds, Adata uses a high-speed USB Type-C connection. Therefore, your machine must have at least a USB 3.1, Gen2 port, otherwise it will not reach its full potential. Also, for those looking to get a PS5 or Xbox Series X or S, the SE770G should connect to newer or older game consoles without any problems.

Given the increasing size of game installations on both PCs and consoles, having fast plug-and-play external storage will come in handy in the coming months and years. The SE770G is available in 512GB and 1TB sizes and comes with a 3-year limited warranty, but pricing has not yet been announced. Interested parties should check out the Adata store.
