Winter Express is an Apex Legends mode introduced late last year during the Christmas period that changed the normal sequence of events to prioritize three squad rapid-fire rounds. The mode, which pitted squads battling for control of the "Holiday Express" train, slightly altered map elements such as ziplines to bring the squads closer together.

But it's back, and as part of the excitement of Apex Legends' new "Season 7" content, Respawn developers participated in a live stream to talk about the patch. It's pretty long (and funny!) but around the 31:40 mark, the screen shows a "timeline" in the main menu, giving us an idea of what our friends have been up to. And you can see that Respawn's friends are playing a lot of Winter Express.

Furthermore, in this update, Winter Express and ..... .2020, and also added badges (Apex's in-game achievement system) associated with both the 2020 Holo-Day Bash. The first version of the event introduced lots of cosmetics, challenges, and the Winter Express mode, which saw guns adorned with candy stripes and jolly festive scarves for the first time.

While there has been no official announcement as to when this will begin, it is worth noting that the 2019 Holo Day Bash took place in-game from December 13, 2019 to January 7, 2000.
