Project Diablo 2" mod is a massive reworking of the original game

Since an official remaster of Diablo 2 may not exist, as much as fans may want, a group of modders have undertaken to overhaul Diablo 2 and provide a new and improved gaming experience. was designed entirely by fans, with streamer SenpaiSomething leading the development.

Many improvements have been made, including reworking the Meteor and Twister spells and rebalancing runes, skills, and items. Not only that, but the official website states, "Over time, we've tried to open up all kinds of options that didn't exist before by removing all weak or unusable skills and allowing you to create fully functional builds around them. There are also new end-game challenges, entirely new skills, and PvP support.

Project Diablo 2 is not the first major mod for the game; Median XL was released last year.

There are many modders who don't stop at improving one aspect, but aim at the game as a whole: for example, by adding buildings to existing settlements or allowing new weapons and artifacts to be discovered, they give a whole new feel to Bethesda's classic game. xcom: Enemy Unknown" and "Enemy Within" long-running games are getting new soldier classes and much-needed balance tweaks, and the developers of the original games have joined their fans by inviting mod teams to create official mods for XCOM 2. Most recently, modder Jannis Brinkmann released Portal Reloaded, a mod for Portal that adds a green portal with the ability to bend time.

The Awakening, the first season of Project Diablo 2, launched on November 6, bringing a real onslaught to the game's servers. The servers are reset every four months and new updates are made at the same time; see the mod's official website for information on how to install the mod and any upcoming changes.
