Xbox boss Phil Spencer said things are going well for "Halo Infinite".

In an interview with Gamespot, Xbox boss Phil Spencer told fans not to worry about "Halo Infinite" despite reports of developer departures.

"Sometimes what was reported or announced internally actually happened months ago. When these things coincide, it's not always accurate," he said.

"With Joe and Pierre joining us at the end of the summer, I have a lot of faith in Bonnie (Ross) and the team. But there is always turnover in this business, and I'm not particularly worried about 343. In the long run, I think the turnover is healthy.

Spencer's relief comes after several developers left 343 Studios in a matter of months. Creative Director Tim Longo left 343 in August 2019 and was replaced by Mary Olson, who left in October of the same year. At the time, the quick turnover prompted community manager John Junishek to issue a reassuring statement on Reddit. She was later replaced by "Halo Infinite" studio director Chris Lee, who also left the project. "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" publishing head Pierre Hintze and veteran " Halo" writer Jospeh Staten joined the project in August 2020, following Halo Infinite's underwhelming performance at Xbox's July showcase.

Spencer emphasized that while the team takes fan feedback on the release seriously, it was the unfortunate timing, not the feedback itself, that led to the delay announced shortly after. [We took the feedback from the July showcase event very seriously.

"We took the feedback that came out of the July showcase event seriously, both about the date and what people were expecting from the game... We opened the July showcase with "Halo Infinite" and then had to change the date two weeks later. It was a mistake for us and for me.
