“Black Myth: Wukong” has quickly risen to the most wishlisted game on Steam. Though, it's a whole week away from release. Ugh. Thankfully, I can run the game's new benchmarking tool over and over to get the settings just right so I can use my time wisely in preparation for the big day.

The new benchmark tool is available for download on Steam. It's free, of course, and you don't even need to pre-order the game. Since its release just a few hours ago, it has become the 18th most played “game” on Steam, with over 60,000 players at its peak.

The PC Gamer hardware team is thus hungry for benchmarks. Hey, if you like benchmarking so much, why don't you come work here? No kidding.

I played with the benchmarking tool this morning, and for the most part, it looks like a pretty good tool. The tool itself allows you to tweak most of the game settings, so you can genuinely find the best game settings for your particular system ahead of release.
