The $40 "Star Wars: Outlaws" season pass includes two story packs, including a showdown with Lando Calrissian.

Star Wars Outlaws is not yet available, but you can already purchase additional Star Wars Outlaws. As is the publisher's wont, Ubisoft sells season passes for its open-world Star Wars adventures.

One of these additional stories has already caused a bit of controversy. The "Jabba's Gambit Exclusive Mission" caused a stir when a website gave the impression that the famous galactic gangster was hiding behind a wall of add-ons, but Ubi has since clarified that Jabba is one of the four syndicate leaders in the base game and will feature heavily in the main story The company clarified that he will be featured extensively in the book. Despite the misinformation, it is unfortunate that the first day's content is hampered by a barrier to additional purchases.

What's new today is what the other two story packs are all about. First up is "Wild Card" (Fall 2024), in which Kay Vess is "hired to infiltrate a high-stakes sabak tournament, but as she crosses paths with notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, she soon learns that another game is being played." The Wild Card also comes with a cosmetic bundle called Cartel Ronin.

The Spring 2025 pass concludes with "A Pirate's Fortune," in which Kay "encounters veteran pirate Hondo Aunaka, who is trying to settle old scores with a band of ruthless pirates."

I assumed at this point that the outlaws had forsaken another cameo and created a cool, gray-haired pirate to bounce off Kay's morals, but after browsing Wookieepedia, I discovered that Hondo Aunaka has appeared frequently in the Star Wars animated universe for over a decade I discovered that Hondo Onaka has been a frequent presence in the Star Wars animated universe for more than a decade. He first appeared in Clone Wars in 2009 and enjoyed half a dozen episodes before reappearing in Star Wars Rebels in 2015. He's the animatronic pirate who gives the intro speech for Smuggler's Run, the ride at Disneyland's Galaxy's Edge. He's a no-nonsense guy, and I'd love to have a drink with him.

As much as I'd love to chill with my buddy Hondo in "Outlaws," the only way to get his story pack is to buy the main "Outlaws" game for now; Ubisoft only sells the Outlaws Season Pass as a bundle with the main game, and the Gold Edition ($110) for the regular price of the full game plus $40, and the Ultimate Edition ($130) comes with a digital art book and other cosmetic items not worth mentioning.

Ubi plans to sell the story pack separately after launch, but did not mention its price. Thankfully, given the performance of similar DLC for Avatar: Frontier of Pandora, we can guess that Wild Cards and Pirate's Fortune will probably be $15 each. In other words, if you're only after the Outlaw season pass for the story packs, you might want to wait to see if buying them a la carte is a better deal.
