Garry Newman, of "Garry's Mod" fame, in what could be called a bold legal move, has received a DMCA for the highly implausible "Generation Alpha" meme of a "Half-Life 2" character's head beatboxing in a toilet, the " They have received a DMCA regarding "Skibidi Toilet". This was originally created by Garry's Mod and there is talk of a Michael Bay film adaptation. This is the world we live in and we have to accept it.

Newman revealed the DMCA request in a post to the S&box Discord channel, where someone claiming to represent Michael Bay's film studio Invisible Narratives (which accompanies the "Skibidi Toilet" film universe), posted a screenshot accusing Garry's Mod of exploiting copyrighted Skibidi Toilet characters like "Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, Titan TV man, and Skibidi Toilet"

And you know what' look up Titan Cameraman on the US Copyright Office website, it is claimed by Invisible Narratives.

"Can you believe the cheek?" writes Newman in Discord. He has a point: the Skibidi Toilet itself is entirely dependent on Garry's Mod. Its creator, Alexei "Dafkboom" Gerasimov, has stated that he was greatly inspired by GMod's Machinima scene.

In fact, Gerasimov himself appeared on S&box Discord and tried to contact Newman. He said, "I didn't slam Gary's mod and I'm trying to understand what's in the letter.

This certainly makes the whole thing seem a bit of a mystery. Of course, it could be that the upcoming movie "Skibidi Toilet" and Gerasimov's handing over the production rights of the movie to Bay and co. got the lawyers in an uproar and GMod got caught up in it. Or it could all be an elaborate prank.

I contacted Newman and asked about his intended response to the DMCA. But for now, only Skibidi's time will tell.
