Astarion voice actor says it would be “great” to play the character again after “Baldur's Gate 3”: 'Live action, game ...... Grape Juice ad, I don't get it”.

Astarion is a fan favorite in Baldur's Gate 3. Last year, Larian won all the awards, and his voice actor, Neil Newbon, won the top award at the Game Awards. It's a groundbreaking role by any measure.

In a recent interview with BAFTA, Newbon revealed that he thought the role would be much shorter-lived: “I was asked to demo the role of a vampire who I thought would be killed off soon.”

It wasn't until Larian signed on for the character that Newbon learned he would be working for a while: “They told me it would be an actual companion character, probably about a year's worth of work. And here we are four years later. Newbon continues about the gallery of techniques and inspirations (including a stray cat named Cat) he used to inform the character: “It was a standout project: ...... Every day was a surprise.”

He still looks to the future. “Santa Monica, Insomniac, Naughty Dog ...... Bethesda...... I love Fallout.

Interestingly, Newbon has already lent his voice to the fan-made mega-project Fallout London, which should be released soon without further delay, but this is very different from the official Bethesda title spot.

Still, that doesn't mean that Asterion will sleep in a coffin for the rest of Newbon's days, and even if Larian has no intention of making “Baldur's Gate 4” anytime soon, Hasbro still owns the rights to the character.

Moreover, Newbon is eager to play him again: “To be honest, I would love to play Astarion again somehow. I'd love to play Astarion again, to be honest. Live action or video games are fine: “Or a grape juice ad. Or a grape juice ad.

I'm a little nervous about Hasbro touching the “Baldur's Gate 3” storyline again--especially if the game's screenwriter is tied to a new Larian project like the mysterious “Excalibur”. Even if he's promoting grape juice (or blood orange drink).
