Dragon Age: The Veilguard is Steam Deck certified, but system requirements are not yet known.

Today, BioWare's Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available on Steam Deck Verified. We don't know the system requirements yet. But at least Valve has tested the game on Proton and says it will run well on their tiny handheld gaming PC.

“We're making great progress towards a fall release date and can quickly confirm that #DragonAge: The Veilguard is all-in on @Steam features! BioWare posted on Steam.

“It has been verified on Steam Deck,” they continued, “and is Steam native, meaning you don't need the EA app to play the game.” [If I were a developer, I wouldn't want to offend these people; look at the current status of “Earth Defense Forces 6,” which has a “Mostly Negative” rating on Steam because it requires an Epic account.

How well Veilguard runs on Steam Deck is another story altogether; 1280x800 at 30FPS is fine, right? On the other hand, maybe it will be great. If so, the console-optimized controls will probably be a delight. We'll know more for sure when it launches this fall.

The PC Gamer team is quite divided on Veilguard, either saying that what the developers are saying is not quite right, or they are quite optimistic. Either way, the best details so far are that the penis will be a spoiler and that it can be voiced by the guy who did the sex noises in Baldur's Gate 3.
