We are pleased to announce that the best RTX 4080 gaming laptops are also the best deals on Prime Day gaming laptops.

Theoretically speaking, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i has been discontinued. However, it is still available for purchase and is one of the best value RTX 4080 gaming laptops since its launch. In fact, its value proposition has positioned it as the best gaming laptop I've seen since I first saw it. Even at its original price of $2,750, when I reviewed the Legion Pro 7i, I felt it was a great bargain compared to the $4,000 RTX 4090 machine.

However, this ~$2,000 price point has been going on for years now, and has become a regular part of this type of deals posting through various Prime Days, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.

Frankly, I am stunned that they are still in stock. [but it's one of the cheapest RTX 4080 gaming laptops you can buy today, and a great one. Despite being an older machine, the previous generation Intel chips haven't changed much from the 13th to the 14th generation and are very capable as multi-threaded CPUs.

I would have preferred a 2TB SSD for the money, but the drive is still quite affordable and the second M.2 slot inside the chassis is nothing to lose sleep over. It is easily accessible and does not require an OS clone.

And while this chassis is not as exciting as the Razer Blade, it is still a well-designed and grown 16” device. It also has one of the best keyboards in the mobile space, with a decent-sized numeric keypad.

I guess my only minor issue is the screen, but that's only because the OLED and Mini LED panels on much more expensive laptops have ruined me. Still, a 1600p display at 240Hz is very good and can output a whopping 500cd/m². So it's not that big of a deal. [Especially if you can get this level of performance on a sub-$2,000 gaming laptop. I like Lenovo a lot right now, and it's because of this laptop.
