I'm a little obsessed with my Razer Blade laptop and these latest Prime Day gaming deals are painfully tempting.

Razer is guilty in my mind. It has nothing to do with the exorbitantly high premium price that is always placed on its luxury gaming laptops, and everything to do with the fact that it appears to have discontinued the Blade 15, a machine that perfectly embodies the gaming MacBook aesthetic that Razer has long been pursuing.

It's a slim, good-looking, beautifully built machine that delivers impressive gaming performance. And right now, the Blade 15 is available at Amazon's Prime member price of $1,600, the lowest price I've ever seen. But when Razer released its updated line of laptops with 14th generation Intel CPUs, it did not announce a new Blade 15, relying instead on the Blade 14 and Blade 16.

That would have been fine if these new 14- and 16-inch chassis were considerably fatter than their former stablemates; the Blade 15 maintains its sleek lines, and thus can only accommodate the RTX 4070 GPU, but it is still a great gaming laptop, especially with its 1440p panel It's still a great gaming laptop with a 1440p panel. [However, that may be my only concern with the Blade 15, but that's because I've grown accustomed to 16:10 screens on modern gaming laptops, and the 2560 x 1440 panel looks more letterboxed than it should by comparison. Still, it remains a beautiful, crisp, high-performance display.

However, the Blade 16's OLED panel is stunning, and the cooling provided by the thicker chassis helps to keep it quiet during gaming, but the Blade 15 remains my gaming laptop of choice. I have one on my desk right now and I love it.

However, the Blade 16 with OLED is now priced much more attractively at $2,600 on Amazon. This is our current choice for a gaming laptop with the best screen, and it really is a stunning panel. We have also never seen one priced this low, especially with an RTX 4080 GPU.

I also have a soft spot for the Blade 14. It's a good choice because a more compact gaming laptop can be much more portable than a larger machine and still deliver great gaming performance. However, while the Blade is not cheap, the Blade 14 has a more upscale Razer feel.

Still, you can get the Blade 14 for under $2,000 on Amazon, which is a lot of money for an RTX 4060 gaming laptop, but still one of the best 14-inch gaming laptops available. At this point, this is the only Razer laptop with an AMD processor, so that's another plus.
