There are many reasons why the Asus ROG Strix Scope II is the best gaming keyboard overall. First, the switches feel fantastic. This is probably thanks to the pre-lubrication (yes, you heard that right). Lubricating the switches makes them bounce smoothly and the clicks are quite satisfying.

This may not sound like a big deal, but it is a great feature. It allows you to use your abilities faster and be a little more agile, especially if you play competitive games a lot and rely on quick bounce-back of keys. In fact, this is why I chose this keyboard as one of my options to replace my current keyboard with a broken “w” key.

It is also quite compact while maintaining functionality. As a result, some keys, such as the shift key, are shorter than usual, and the delete key is a little further away than the keys we are used to, but this is to make room for the arrow keys and the full numeric keypad.

Another way to compensate for the slightly different layout is to add a multimedia scroll wheel next to the oversized ROG logo button. This wheel can be used to adjust volume and lighting, or to execute hotkeys configured using Armoury Crate software.

It should be noted that even with the significant discount, $149.99 is not cheap. However, if this is in the Prime Day price range, this bargain is definitely worth checking out. Not only because of all the great features this keyboard has, but also the fact that it is often cheaper than other versions like the Asus ROG Azoth.
