The Prime Day Xbox Wireless Controller adds color to your life.

The best controller is probably not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about setting up a gaming PC, but some games feel better than a regular mouse and keyboard combo. However, some games feel better than a regular mouse and keyboard combination. As luck would have it, this purple Xbox wireless controller is on sale at Newegg's Prime Day sale for $50 instead of the usual $65. If you don't like too colorful, you can get a plain black Xbox wireless controller on Amazon for $44 instead.

The best thing about this controller, aside from the fact that it's bright purple, is that it connects easily to your PC. Its comfortable design includes a textured rubber grip that provides a great feel in your hand. Like its predecessor, the Xbox One controller boasts a vastly superior D-pad that you can use in fighting games and platformers without hesitation.

If your rig doesn't have a built-in Bluetooth connection, you can get a generic Bluetooth adapter and it will work just as well. Also, since Microsoft owns both Windows and Xbox, if your controller is a game that supports the use of controllers, it will usually work reliably without having to worry about button remapping or other hassles.

There are certainly cheaper controllers out there, but at least in my experience, it's worth it to buy a big console controller. Especially if you have an Xbox console in your living room.

If you're still not convinced, you might want to look at the Prime Day PC gaming deals for something less purple. Either way, you're sure to find a bargain that fits your budget.
