Fight Me: 14” is the peak of gaming laptops, and this is the only Prime Day gaming laptop I would personally consider buying today.

To be honest, we were a bit disappointed with Best Buy. Just a few days ago, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 OLED (our absolute favorite compact gaming laptop) was selling for $1,100. Sadly, on Monday the Zephyrus G14 was back at $1,600. Still not bad for such a gorgeous gaming laptop with a full unibody aluminum chassis, great performance, and impressive looks. But not great.

What is pretty great, however, is that there are a number of other 14-inch gaming laptops on Prime Day. The compact gaming laptop is the ultimate portable laptop that delivers high-end frame rates and has no real visible drawbacks.

And for me, a 14” laptop is the only form factor I can realistically and reasonably consider buying. Well, unless you are genuinely looking for a desktop replacement with a large 18” screen.

These are just a few of the many choices, and while the Asus G14 is no longer on the receiving end of big discounts, it is still absolutely worth buying. However, the $1,150 Acer Predator 14, with its RTX 4070 GPU, is arguably the best value if you're looking for raw performance.

But if I were to actually buy one, it would be the $1,280 HP Omen Transcend 14. It's not the best or cheapest, but the chassis is beautiful and the OLED screen is great. It's a purely portable gaming laptop with great aesthetics. While reviewing it, I fell a little in love.

There is also the Razer Blade 14, which I still have a soft spot for. However, even with the hefty discount, at $2,000 for the RTX 4060 Blade 14 gaming laptop, it is honestly very hard to recommend it over any other product.
