The best low-cost wireless gaming mouse is even lower thanks to Prime Day!

When it comes to gaming mice, sometimes all you really need is something fast, lightweight, and reliable. Of course, ultra-fast optical sensors and high polling rates are nice to have, but they do drive up the price and shorten battery life. [The Logitech G305 Lightspeed is the best wireless mouse you can buy at a reasonable price. Thanks to the Prime Day sale, this mouse is even more affordable.

To be fair to other retailers, Amazon's low price is exclusive to Prime members, and the white and mint-colored versions are $29.99, the same price Newegg and Best Buy are selling the standard-colored ones.

It's not as high-end as Logitech's other gaming mice, but that's to be expected. I have one sitting in a box somewhere as an emergency mouse for when I travel, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

I wish I could say the same about the mint color version of the G305 Lightspeed. It is shockingly vivid, far too vivid. My old eyes greatly prefer the normal black model. But if that is too boring for you, there are others to choose from.

You might think the G305 Lightspeed is garbage since it costs less than $30, but it's not. Sure, it has few standout features and uses standard AA batteries instead of rechargeable batteries, but it has everything you need.

Logitech's Hero optical sensor is capable of 12,000 DPI, with a maximum tracking speed of 400 IPS and acceleration of 40g. These numbers are perfectly fine for gaming and may only be a drag if you are a regular competitive shooter.

This mouse is the best small mouse you can get for a fraction of the cost.
