'Miyazaki should be proud': After 325 deaths and a 7-hour boss battle, streamer fulfills prophecy and beats "Shadow of the Eldest Trees" on the dance pad

I had heard that the "Shadow of the Elder Tree" DLC for Elden Ring was difficult. So difficult that it's daunting. So difficult that it's hard to control the discourse. So even the most robust players - the really skilled ones - were running into problems.

But now there are people who have completed the entire work on DDR dance pads. This game is easy as hell. I can say this statement with the utmost confidence based on the 4 hours I have spent on the basic game in my life.

The hero in question is streamer MissMikkaa (via VG247), and to be honest, this was really just a matter of time. Not only is it an old tradition to beat FromSoft games with a dance pad, but MissMikkaa herself has had a long and illustrious career clowning around Miyazaki's formidable bosses in unlikely ways, from one-handedly using an acoustic guitar to taking a shot at his dog (well, that one was accidental). illustrious career, even fooling Marenia with a dance pad two years ago.

Now, to be fair, it wasn't exactly an easy win. In her tweet announcing her victory, Miss Micka revealed that it took her "52 tries and 7 hours on the dance pad (my feet hurt)" to defeat the tenacious Ladern, the final boss of Eldestree. Her final triumphant moment can be seen in the following Twitch clip.

In total, Erdtree took MissMikka a full seven days and left 325 dead; on what she hopes to take away from the week-long ordeal, MissMikkaa simply says, "I hope Miyazaki is proud of me."

Given that Miyazaki has publicly stated that he is "absolutely terrible at video games," the Elden Ring director is not only proud, but is probably just as surprised as we mere mortals that someone has conquered the game in such an unorthodox way.
