New updates and possible release of Baldur's Village, a Stardew Valley and BG3 mashup mod that lets you kiss an asterion

A few months ago, a Baldur's Gate 3 fan artist with the handle XunHe1145 shared a project to bring BG3 characters to the Stardew Valley world in a mod named Baldur's Village. Months later, we finally have a new update on the project: "No release date yet, but the first installment will most likely be released this fall or winter," Xun tweeted.

The mod will feature a separate map for the village of Balder, four different new building styles, and new characters such as Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, and Harsin with custom portraits. And Astarion will have a romance/dating quest line.

First, new characters will be added. Says Xun, "Both Roland and Roland's projection have been designed, and while Roland is not a marriageable NPC at this time, he will pop up from time to time in a corner of the map." Again!" ! Currently the only marriageable NPCs are Astarion and Harsin, but once the first part is released, the order of marriageable NPCs will be voted on by the patrons." Rolan's Projection also has a new building design.

"New items will be sold at the bar periodically or at random.

Other new rooms and buildings are briefly mentioned: "We are designing spouse rooms, patios, and special furniture related to the character experience. This part of the work is enormous and still in progress."

Along with all this great content, players can also expect to see their favorite BG3 characters in a variety of pixelated outfits. As with other Stardew Valley NPCs, styles will depend on the current in-game season. This is also a work in progress, but "the Astarion and Shadowheart characters are already complete."

There are countless great mods for Stardew Valley, such as "Ellie's Ideal Greenhouse," which allows for three spacious greenhouse designs, and "The Love of Cooking," which adds tons of new recipes for cooking. But Baldur's Village is truly going to be among the best, and I can't wait to see what else the modders have in store for us.
