Dr. Disrespect fired from game studio he co-founded "It is our duty to act with dignity on behalf of all parties involved.

Midnight Society co-founder Guy Beahm, better known as the bearded and sunglasses-wearing streamer Dr Disrespect, has been banned from Twitch for life after it was discovered that he tried to arrange a sexting and TwitchCon meet-up with a minor. He said he was "stepping down" from streaming and from his position at the studio following allegations that he had been banned.

Shortly after the stream ended, Midnight Society announced that it was "immediately terminating its relationship with Guy Beaham."

Beahm delivered a message at the end of today's live stream, stating that he was "feeling a little fatigued" and "getting tired of being on social media.

"Over the years, it's leaked out of me, it's leaked out of my family and me," Beahm said, noting that he has been live-streaming since 2009.

"And I just had this idea of, let's see what happens today, how we're feeling, and I'm like, 'Oh, my God, I'm so burned out.' And I'm kind of burnt out. Maybe it's time to start something new and different. Challenge my creative senses. A desire to explore different territory.

Beahm said that he has been holding off on a planned vacation for a while now and "might extend it, starting today, starting now."

The streamer concluded that his "vacation" would not only be away from streaming, but also from his work with the Midnight Society." By "leave," I mean, I have to tell Midnight Society this, I'm possibly leaving there as well. I have to leave the place altogether. That's what I need to do."

Beahm's message of stepping away from streaming and the Midnight Society begins at 3:13:00.

But it sounds like he had no choice but to do so. During the live stream, Beahm denied the allegations against him, saying that he had done nothing wrong and that "this has all been investigated and resolved." However, as soon as the stream ended, Midnight Society announced on Twitter that Beahm was no longer part of the project.

"On Friday evening we became aware of the allegations against one of our co-founders, Guy Beahm, aka Dr Disrespect. We assumed his innocence and began talking to those involved. Then we had to take action to uphold our principles and standards as a studio and as individuals. Therefore, we are terminating our relationship with Guy Beahm immediately."

"While these facts are difficult to hear and even more difficult to accept, it is our duty to act with dignity for the sake of all individuals involved, especially the 55 developers we employ and their families, and our player community."

I have contacted the Midnight Society for more information and will update if I hear back.
