New Survivor of "Dead by Daylight" is "a legendary character who epitomizes the spirit of survival instinct," and her name is Lara Croft.
[Alan Wake, Nicolas Cage, Ellen Ripley, Vecna, the list goes on and on; OG Tomb Raider Lara Croft came to the game in July and is currently playable in a public test build on Steam.

Sadly for Lara, she doesn't come into the fog with the tools that would probably be most useful in such a situation: a gun and a bow. The good news is that after years of being in severe pinch, she has gotten pretty good at handling her business.

That experience will come in handy on your journey through the fog: Lara's unique perks allow her to open safes faster, repair generators more quickly, and stay quiet in moments when most survivors would scream.

"In Lara's case, we felt it was fitting to welcome a legendary character who epitomizes the spirit of survival instinct," the official Tomb Raider website explains. Her own experience is full of brutal encounters, driven back to the brink"

.

"Dancing with death one after another, Lara has endured with unwavering determination. From battling the storm guards on the cursed island of Yamatai to enduring the nightmarish visions of Baba Yaga on Wicked Vale, Lara Croft has faced each challenge with a determination to survive.

Lara will go live in Dead by Daylight on July 16, but you can step into her shoes right now in the public test build currently running on Steam, though the PTB will run through July 1 and, as usual, progress will not carry over to the full game, players will be given a pile of in-game currency so they can play more easily with costumes and characters.

The PTB update features a number of other changes and additions, including a new "disconnect bot" that will spawn if a player disconnects while loading, allowing the game to continue where it was cancelled due to lack of player count. The full patch notes can be found on Steam.
