Competition to find Bigfoot in "Baldur's Gate 3" cutscene heats up; YouTuber dangles $500 carrot to finder

There is a bounty on Karlak. No, not a bounty that can be collected if she starts playing games and you are some sort of hideous monster. Whereas the bounty is on a fallen creature from the bowels of hell, this bounty is on a fallen creature called YouTuber.

Video game video maker Proxy Gate Tactician offered a $500 reward for anyone who could catch the fourth wall-breaking faeryn favorite Tiefling (via GamesRadar).

As you may have read on PC Gamer dot com, a BG3 game file discovered by another YouTuber named Chubblot depicts a scene in which Karlach is struck by the terrifying realization that he is in a video game. It's a great skit, with Karlach gesturing and explaining everything from the game's vast web of options to its 100 hours (or more, or less) length.

The problem is that no one has accessed the scene legally (i.e., without modifying the game's files), despite multiple players claiming to have done so and suggesting that Karlach's actor, Samantha BĂ©art, should be able to "organically" access it That is. Yet, no one has actually shown them working on it.

That seems suspicious to me, and it seems suspicious to Proxy Gate Tactician." Like Bigfoot," says PCT, "there is no evidence to indicate that the destruction of this fourth wall was recorded spontaneously." In fact, PCT says, "We can say with confidence that this cutscene does not legitimately exist in the game," and will offer $500 to anyone who can prove that they have unlocked it by glancing at the file explorer.

"If someone can find a legal way to trigger this cutscene without modifying or cheating the game files, [then] post a video showing how to do it, and others can do it themselves using that method, I will give you $500 will be sent to you." With these words, the gauntlet was thrown down.

Frankly, I think their money is safe. Our article on Carrack's Vision Through Time appeared last September. Sadly, the simple truth would be that this scene is simply cut content. But hey, if you can prove me wrong, please post that evidence in the comments on PCT. A cool 5 hundo awaits you.
